In Indian classic philosophy Shiva is called Nataradsha – czar of dance, God of fire and all-powerful destructive force of Universe. The dance itself represents Shiva`s dancing on one leg and holding the other up in the air – symbolizing the expansion of his power over the material and the immaterial worlds (subtle worlds). During this exercise imagine that you are God Shiva, who is performing his Natjam (dance). Identify yourself with this image as ancient Indians did it; connect with the divine inside yourself. Move gently, without sharp movements or interruptions. During the entire exercise hold your balance standing on one leg. The ability of holding your balance is a sign of inner harmony and indicates that the energy of your organism is harmonious.
