Take the position of vadjrasana, straighten your spine and close your eyes. Detach your mind from all external impressions and tune in with your inner world. Feel the rhythm of your breathing and the pulsation of your heart in your whole body. Feel the warmth of your body and sink into your inner world. In your mind pronounce the words: “I inhale. What a peaceful feeling! I exhale. What a blissful feeling! I inhale. What a pleasant feeling! I exhale. What a wonderful feeling. My body is completely relaxed. It is being filled with energy. With every breath I am filled with prana. With every out breath this spreads through all the channels of my body. I feel the healing effect of this inhalation in my whole being. My emotions calm down. I am in the moment, here and now. My mind is calm, concentrated and steady. In my inner vision, I drop my past. In my mind I am moving towards the future. I imagine what could happen in the future. With my inner vision I grasp my whole embodiment. I see how fluid and changeable everything is in life. I am changing myself …..changing. And it cannot be halted, stopped, or pushed over. I am the flow, the river flowing through life. I am aware of that. And in this state I prepare myself for performing this ritual.” Let’s connect with the Highest Powers by singing the sacred, ancient mantra, and fill yourself with Divine Power. Take a deep in breath. NAMO SOTIDANANDANA PARAM ANANDA SVASTI. Breathe in, breathe out. Let’s bow down to the Highest Power. Hold your breath on exhalation. Relax in this posture while holding your breath as long as possible. Feel the fine energy coming into your whole being; be filled with it and transformed by it. Feel your will increasing while you are fighting with the wish to breathe in. Very well done! Now let’s start by doing the warming up practice: ‘Fire'. Stand on the left knee. In your mind, imagine that you are a spark separating from a flame. Bend sideways to the right and breathe in. Feel how your left side stretches. Breathe out. Return to the starting position. Breathe in. Bend sideways to the left side. Feel how your right side stretches. Breathe out. Go back to the starting position. Breathe in. Turn to the right. Feel your spine and breathe out. Go back to the starting position. Breathe in. Turn to the left. Feel every vertebra and breathe out. Go back to the starting position. Breathe in. Lean backwards as much as possible and let your stretched arms follow the movement backwards. Breathe out. Lean forwards to your bend leg and make your head touch the knee. Very well! Gently get up and repeat the same position the other way round. We do the same warming-up on the other leg. Breathe in. Bend sideways to the left. Imagine that you are a spark emerging from the flame. Breathe out. Go back to the starting position. Breathe in. The flame starts to set fire to thin branches, blades of grass. Breathe out. Go back tot eh starting position. Breathe in. Turn to the left. The flame sets fire to bigger branches. Breathe out. Go back to the starting position. Breathe in. The flame takes over the whole bonfire. Big logs start burning. Breathe out. Go back to the starting position. Breathe in. The flame flares up. Breathe out. It goes out of control. Only ashes are left. Very good! Smoothly get up, take the position of vadjrasana.
Let’s do the purification breathing. Breathe in. Breathe in once more, and one last time breathe in. Let’s start doing the Pranayama ‘Bhastrika’. Concentrate on the breathing process. Straighten your spine, go deeper inside yourself, feel the process of breathing. We shall inhale through the nose and exhale through mouth. So, let’s start. Breathe in rhythmically: the inhalation is equal to the exhalation. Feel how with every breath ‘prana’ flows into you and filling your whole being. Bhastrika in translation means ‘bellows’. Feel that your lungs work like bellows. Feel how they contract and expand and how energy in your aura pulsates together with your breathing. Feel how the purification of the whole etheric body takes place. You experience a state of lightness and euphoria, bliss and weightlessness. Very well. Breathe in smoothly and deeply. Hold the breath on inhalation and do ‘jalabandha’ and ‘mulabandha’. Keep your spine straight. Feel how the purification of your whole organism takes place. All the poison is oxidized. All rubbish comes out. Your energy level increases. Feel how easy it is for you to do this ‘Pranayama’ and hold your breath. Feel how you can hold your breath much longer. If you need to breathe in, lift your head, place your index finger and third finger between the eyebrows, close the right nostril with the thumb, and breathe out through the left nostril. Stop your breath while breathing out and do three ‘bandhas’: upper, middle, and lower. Middle ‘bandha’ means ‘swinging with your stomach and diaphragm’. When you need to inhale, you may raise your head smoothly and breathe in. Great! Let’s do the purification breathing. Breath in, once more, and one the last time, breathe in. ‘Bhastrika’ trains our lungs very well, make them sturdy and increases their volume, thus preventing diseases.
