THE MAYA CALENDAR AND THE END OF THE ‘FIFTH SUN’

From the newspaper headlines:

Ø       “In 2012 the parade of the planets will lead towards the end of light!”

Ø       “At the basis of the Maya Calendar was assumed a mythical starting date: August 13, 3113 B.C. From it, the chronology was calculated through a simple computation on the number of past days. We are on the threshold of the fourth sun”

WHAT IS ‘MAYA’?

In ancient Indian philosophy, the word ‘Maya’ had two meanings: either ‘source of this world’ or ‘illusory world’. The Maya appeared in Central America around X B.C. and their civilization emerged in only 500 years, in the area of impervious tropical forest. There, they developed: astronomy, mathematics, architecture, sculpting and painting and, thereafter, they mysteriously disappeared: by the year 830 A.D of our era and after 500 years of untiring activity, all their basic centers were abandoned.

Besides the calendar, they also calculated the cycles of the eclipses and composed the tables of the synchronization of the periods of the revolution of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon. For some reason, they paid special attention to the constellation of Gemini and the Pleiades.

For the designation of numbers and months, the Maya used points and rulers.

As the basis of their calendar, the Maya assumed was a mythical initial date: August 13, 3113 B.C. all the way to our era. From it, the chronology was measure by simply counting the number of past days.

The calendar of the Maya, in spite of its antiquity, is amazingly precise. According to contemporary calculations, the duration of a solar year is of 365,2422 days, and the Maya calculated it a being of 365,2420 days, a mere difference of 10/1000. For the compilation of such a precise calendar, according to the scientists, it was necessary to observe and record the motion of the planets over a period of approximately 10.000 years.  This calendar was adapted for the measurements of gigantic intervals of time. In contemporary society, similar calculations, up to now, are not in use.

The Maya considered that, during the Great Cycle, between 3113 B.C. until 2012 A.D., human history would be governed by  a certain galactic ray - emanating from the ‘nucleus of Galaxy’ - through which the Earth and the Sun move according to the so called  ‘galactic seasons’, described by the Maya in mathematical and symbolic form.

The ‘Galactic ray’, according to the Maya, could be compared to the ray of a lighthouse, which increases proportionally as it moves away from its source.  The entrance point of the Earth into the ray corresponds to the ‘initial date’ given by the Maya:  August 13, 3113 B.C. The same date is due on December 21, 2012.

Maya priests had stated that, from the moment of the creation of humankind, had already passed four cycles or ‘Four Suns’. In the Maya legends, the completion of each cycle, practically, coincides with the destruction of the civilization, living during this cycle. Thus, four human races superseded and perished during the great cataclysms. Only a few people survived, to tell posterity what had occurred.

‘First Sun’: lasted 4008 years and it was destroyed by earthquakes,

‘Second Sun’: lasted 4010 years and it was destroyed by hurricanes and water,

‘Third Sun’: lasted 4081 years and fall under a fiery rain, spilling from the craters of enormous volcanoes.

‘Fourth Sun’: lasted 5026 years and was destroyed the flood.

We live on the last eve of the ‘Fifth Sun’ or the ‘Sun of motion’.

The Maya assumed that, at the time of the completion of the present 5126 years summer cycle, a certain motion of the Earth would happen, one which would cause the annihilation of our civilization.

ASTROLOGICAL ASPECTS OF 2012

December 12, 2012 is the day when the configuration on the firmament cannot be easily calculated.

This is the last day of the lunar month, considered as a ‘satanic’ day: on this day, Jupiter will conjunct the Black Moon - the planet of negative karma- and, also, there will be a stressed planetary aspect between Pluto and Uranus. Furthermore, all this will occur at the time when Uranus changes the direction of its motion, fraught with strong destructive processes.

The most interesting thing of all is that, on December 21, 2012, there will be a parade of planets. Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Earth will be aligned. Strictly speaking, these parades of planets have happened also at other times. How does this parade of planets on December 21, 2012 differ from previous ones? On this day not only the planets of the solar system will be aligned with each other, but also the planet of other Stellar Systems, will be forming a line all the way from the centre of the Galaxy. This is a truly different kettle of fish. Processes can be compared with the pointers of the hours, when these pointers come to the mark ‘12 o’clock’. This combination will indicate the passage of the Universe from one system to another…
