An oriental story:

Once upon a time, in a far away country, lived a very rich magician who had many sheep. He was very tight with money and was unwilling to pay someone to build a fence for his sheep, which were continuously running away.

One day he found a special way of handling the situation: he told them that they were totally free, that there was no better place for them to be but where they were and that, when the day came for their skins to be taken off, they would be very glad for it and would not suffer any pain. In addition he told them that they were not sheep, but lions, eagles or human beings…

This fable illustrates very well our present human conditionings.
