This is a story, which as all so called ‘fairy tales’, happened… once upon a time a in distant land, the land of Siberia. Listen….

Once upon a time, in a distant land of the Earth, called Siberia, lived people who worshipped God and lived accordingly to His laws: they knew the mysteries of life and death, and the richness brought about by the alternation of the four seasons. Most of all, they knew that their energies and power followed nature’s ways. By following its rhythm they, thus, kept their health and strength of body, mind and emotions, and ruled their land wisely.

They were be reborn in spring with the flowers of the fields’, rejoiced in the long, hot summers, whilst the fruit reddened on the trees and in autumn, at harvest time, with hearts full of gratitude, filled their storehouse with the gifts that mother Earth provided for their nourishment and sustain….

People also knew that every year without fail, as the Sun entered the sign of Capricorn, its rays would became weaker and weaker, and coldness and darkness would embrace every village of this beautiful faraway land: every single man, woman and child, and even every warrior and hero, would fall under the spell of this season of stillness. Everyone would feel their energy drop, their limbs weaken, their desires fade away into the long winter nights, as if caught in the air and frozen by the snow flakes falling slowly and gently over their houses and fields.

Sun in Capricorn!

The contracting energy of winter could have made them want to retreat in their beds and, under the comfort of their heavy and warm fur-blankets, surrender like bears to lethargy, for the whole of the winter period.

But… listen further!

Once upon a time, in a distant land of the world, called Siberia, lived a people who worshipped God and, because of this, amongst them lived special men, known as Shamans who could transform every event into an assertion of life, into a reason for celebration. When the time for a ritual came, they would sit in silence, keep away from the village’s activities and, after doing some calculations, announce the favorable date in which a ritual could be performed for the good of all. These people knew many rituals that could bring happiness, abundance and health to all. They knew how to expel the bad spirits of suffering and poverty, conflicts and disease and, also, how to invite good spirits. They had special ritualistic ways of celebrating birthdays, of welcoming the Full Moon, of celebrating the beginning of spring and, of course, even of performing Winter rituals.

When the sun entered the sign of Capricorn and winter engulfed the whole Earth in its cold and dark embrace, when people could feel weaker and depressed and could want, like bears to hibernate under their warm fur-blankets, the shaman would call everyone all members of a family or ,even, of the whole community to perform a great ritual: The ritual of the ‘Tree of life’

Read on…..

The day was cold and the sunrays barely could pass through a thick, even grayish sky... The air was full with the smell of the coming snowfall, which would cover each house and each field with a thick white blanket.

The Shaman gathered everyone around a tree –t he Tree of Life – for a ritual meant to increase their energy. He invited every man, woman and child, and even every warrior and hero of this land, to place something dear to them on the tree.

“This should not be casual” he had said……Every object people gave should have a special meaning for them: this should be something they were very attached to, something they felt they could never part from… something they were dependant upon.

They all did as asked: a man hung his ax on a lower branch, a woman her beautiful golden ring on a middle branch and a child, standing on his grand-dad’s shoulder, managed to put a small toy, he had enjoyed playing with for many months, on the highest branch.

Through the ritual the Shaman had raised the tree of life, lifting with it all the problems of the group to superior worlds, thus releasing in this way the community from all sufferings. Everyone was smiling full of trust.

Only the Shaman knew how to deliver the true gifts they needed for the following year, how to forecast as well as how to attract the appropriate energy needed to fulfill all wishes and to overcome all possible obstacles.

People, in old days, because they worshipped God, knew the meaning of sacrificing something, of leaving the old behind so that they could welcome the new in their life; to let go of something old, no matter how valuable it was to them, to make room for God’s work in their life.

Each man, woman and child, and even warrior and hero in this land, knew that the Tree of Life related to a kingdom and a time, and also knew how to place their sacrifices on different parts of the tree depending on the wishes they hoped to fulfill.  Accordingly, therefore, those who wanted to be free from a disease, would place their sacrifice in the lower part of the tree, near the roots, the place corresponding to the past; those who wanted prosperity   and wealth would, instead, place their sacrifice in the middle part of the tree, corresponding to the present and, last, those who made a wish for the future, like finding a partner, a   better job   or   health, would place their sacrifice in the upper part of the tree, corresponding to the future.  Right at the top of the tree was a star, symbolizing God, the light that will guide all of them in the year to come.

People, once upon a time, lived happily and content: they worshipped God and knew His ways…….

One day, darkness fell on Earth and the villages and the people, every man, woman and child who once lived happily through the fours seasons and in tune with nature disappeared from the face of the Earth and, with them, disappeared also knowledge. With time, and with the disappearance of knowledge, the Shaman became Santa Claus, who delivers the blessing of the superior world in the form of material gifts, generally rather useless and, moreover, quite low in the energy they are able to transmit and the deer its  ‘rennas’.

‘Once upon a time’…. it’ s now!!!!!!!!!!!

In a beautiful, far away land called Siberia, the Shamans of the Siberian ‘School of Golden Altai’ have revived the old knowledge, secretly protected for centuries: as the Shamans of old times, they now perform ancient rituals, delivering a deep sense of celebration and rituality to every man, woman and child, and even modern warriors and heroes, caught in mechanical actions and, thus, unable to bring upon themselves the magical benefits that they could otherwise receive.

Like the shaman of the old times, the modern Siberian Shamans of Golden Altai, are able to ascend to the superior world, to deliver the blessings, the good future and the gifts of God to the entire group.

All those coming from all lands of the Earth who, these days, gather around the Shamans of Golden Altai to perform with them the old rituals - either in places of power in Alati or in Greece - are people who worship God, know the mysteries of life and death and the richness brought about by the alternation of the four seasons. Most of all, they know that their energies and power follow nature’s ways and, thus, every time the sun enters the sign of Capricorn, they meet with the Siberian Shamans of Golden Altai to perform the ritual of the ‘Tree of Life’. Those who come to the rituals – and those who study in the School- know that Santa Claus is the Shaman and that the deer is our soul Kut,  as well as the skin of the Shamans’s drums. They know that only when a Shaman has a good Kut can he travel on his journey.

During the ‘Tree of Life’ ritual, in the time when the sun enters the sign of Capricorn - known in modern times as Christmas - people gather around the tree to make their sacrifice and express their wish. One can see precious jewels, money and all sorts of objects of great value hang from it, making each branch bend under their weight. One can hear stories told by people with huge smiles on their faces and with tears of joy running at the same times down their cheeks.

These are stories of changed lives, of wishes being fulfilled: diseases being healed, youngsters being saves from drug addictions, successful stories of love found and renewed, of families being healed from the disasters of fighting and unfaithfulness, of business people on the brink of bankrupt recovering a healthy business, of people discovering special abilities, or a sudden awakening of art in their life…….

The stories are as many as the people who gather there.

I’ll be there this year, and you?
