| The MOON - it is a symbol of the SOUL |

|
The Moon is the symbol of the soul, it represents life’s fast changes, it is the closest point on the way to the stars and it, also, holds the secrets of life and death as well as of the beginning of human history. The Moon governs the state of dreams and of life changes and it controls tidal waves as well as fertility and pregnancy. The Indians call the Moon Chandra, the Egyptians Isis, the Greeks Diana (but give it other names depending on its phase) and the Jews Ahnem. The mystics call it Celestial Deva and see in it the emblem of the World’s Soul. In the emblem of The Moon influences perspiration, menstrual blood, all motions as well as the lungs, the stomach and the sexual organs, the spinal cord, the eyesight, man’s left eye and women’s right eye, the nervous system, all membranes, the glands, the female breast, the left side of the body, the sperm (lunar fluid) and the fatty tissue. People with a lunar temperament are called ‘phlegmatic’ types. Their appearance is sluggish and apathetic, their manners are modest and have a startled look, a large head, chestnut hair, sparse beard, an oval face, black eyes and eyebrows joined together. They have a round body and medium height. As far as their character is concerned they are loving and kind people, with strong feelings; they are imitators, dreamers and romantics; they are easily influenced, have a weak spirituality, love changes and adventure and, also, have a tendency toward searching and travelling. Their greatest virtue and sin are, respectively, hope and envy. Their negative qualities are a slack sense of morality, little faith in themselves, passion for enjoyment, weak memory, cowardice, hypocrisy, inconsistency, instability, easy whims, dubious sexuality and desires, meanness, slandering and, last but not least, fear. The Moon transfers the magnetic vibrations of all the other planets and stars entering in connection with it through aspects. Its Element is water and its climate cold and humidity. Its colors are white, plated silver, light-brown, yellowish, greenish (colour of sea waves). Its minerals are the rock crystal, diamond, marquisate, selenite, beryl and white coral. The Moon governs all illnesses, but there are some diseases, which pertain especially to it. Amongst them are: paralysis, gout, sciatica, dropsy, multiple sclerosis, stuttering, vomiting, catarrh, worms, fistulae, emotional disturbances as well as the transformation of all bodily substances. In men, the Moon manifests through the mother, the wife, the daughter and all subordinated women, in women through the mother and the daughter, and influences also their physiology and health. When the Moon manifests itself through the husband, this is normally inconstant, capricious and easy victim of all sorts of influences, although affectionate and handsome (yet, with not so positive aspects of the Moon he is weak, deceitful, happy-go-lucky, coward, drunkard, unhealthy and not capable of ensuring happiness in a marriage). The Moon influences the destiny of Europeans - whose mentality leads them to regard happiness only in terms of the tangible success - by giving them ordinary happiness, a rich sensual life and passionate desires. For many centuries women - who in those times often played the role of advisers precisely because they had access to the power of the Lunar Goddess - followed the Moon calendar in the execution of any religious or medical activity. People, in general, in the past had learned to use phases of the Moon for hunting and agriculture, and all primitive people knew that no one can avoid the mystical action of the Moon, whether they believe in it or not. The Moon exerts its powerful action on every single person’s life. For instance, when the Full Moon enters a specific astrological sign it can cause difficulties even to the strongest person. It is a fact that, the less we know about Moon’s influence, the more unconsciously we react to its influence. Yet, since the beginning of time, magicians used the different phases of lunar cycle to strengthen their abilities. As the human body consists almost completely of water and as the Moon affects the tides of the ocean, it follows that it also affects human beings. History reports that the Moon was regarded as the deliverer of very positive effects and that ancient people, knowing this, used its action to improve their lives and, even, created a whole Moon science. History also recalls that, however, as different gods symbolized a specific connection with the Moon, this science was soon repressed by many world religions. The great civilizations of the past were well aware of the power of Moon’s phases. Even nowadays heathens, worshippers of ceremonies and magicians make large use of this knowledge as, during a specific phase of the Moon, a unique kind of energy that people can use for specific rituals becomes available. Mantra-singing during the phases of the Moon fosters development, wealth and bestows all sorts of benefits. Usually this is performed between the New Moon and the Full Moon, when the Moon has greatest power. This application of lunar magic is known since ancient times and, as before, it bears fruits even in our days. The Lunar month was, traditionally, associated with the aspects of the ‘Threefold Goddess’, namely the:
