Practice on the day of Full Moon |
|

Mariana hurried to the empty room in her uncle’s apartment, where she could be alone and go deeply into the world of magic that she loved to practice every evening. She took off her clothes and let her elegant, black hair loose: her curls fell on her shoulders. She put on the floor a spread of cards and around it eight candles facing in the direction of the light. Then she placed a silver cup filled with salty water and sat on her knees in the centre of the circle. She could see a bright Moon shine through the window: it was Full Moon.
Mariana took the cup filled with water and, after lifting it up, she put it under the Moon’s beams. She bathed herself entirely in the Moon’s radiance, feeling as though the Moon’s energy flew straight into her being. “May all my wishes come true!” she uttered, starting to cultivate her intention, imagining all that she wanted to achieve, “Oh, Goddess of the Night, please, tell me: what should I do to achieve this!” she asked, silently reciting the witchcraft incantation. Suddenly, from the Moon’s beam appeared the shape of a Goddess. Her lips whispered: “There is someone next to you, whose power is opposite to yours: you are meant to urge each other on the path of development.” “Who is he?” Mariana uttered, looking in the cup of water. Suddenly, a shape begun to form in it, that of Roll, a boy from her class, “It will be done!” said Mariana, drinking the whole cup of water. Then, holding it in both hands, she bowed to the Goddess.
